Folk Roots Radio on April 19 2014 (Episode 146) included a couple of interesting interviews – Mark Logan from Encore Records in Kitchener discussing Record Store Day and Sam Baijal, Artistic Director at the Hillside Festival discussing the performers appearing at Hillside 2014.
Folk Roots Radio on April 12 2014 (Episode 145) featured a phone interview with Drew McIvor about his CBC Searchlight nominated song “45s and 33s” and, of course, lots of great music.
Folk Roots Radio on April 5 2014 (Episode 144) featured an in-studio interview with Jack Cooper as well as a live performance from singer-songwriter Gayle Ackroyd.
We had two interviews on Folk Roots Radio on March 29 (Episode 143). Toronto-based singer-songwriter Clela Errington joined us in the first hour, and Fred Eaglesmith after the break.
Folk Roots Radio on March 22 2014 (Episode 142) featured two interviews. During the first hour, Sue Smith and Shannon Kingsbury from The Ondine Chorus joined us to chat about their new E.P. “Towards A Little Light”. Their album launch takes place on Saturday March 29 at 2 p.m. in Guelph at the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre. Later in the show, singer-songwriter Joni Nehrita joined us to talk about her varied musical interests, including her new jazz-styled (download) E.P. “Beginnings”. The Joni Nehrita Quintet play The Guelph Black Heritage Society, Essex St in Guelph on March 29 at 8 p.m.
