Ondine Chorus Summer Solstice Concerts

Vocal group Ondine Chorus celebrate the 2014 summer solstice, with two concerts, in Alton on June 21, and, in Stratford on June 22.

If you’ve not been to a concert by Ondine Chorus you really should check them out. Their performances feature stunning original works, gorgeous reinterpretations of traditional songs and mesmerizing sonic thematic improvisations. It’s a magical journey of subtle and rich harmonies that will live long in the memory.

The Alton concert takes place in the acoustic space at the Paul Morin Gallery, Alton Mill Art Centre on June 21 at 8 p.m. The Gallery Stratford show takes place on June 22 at 2 p.m. and will feature a processional concert in the sculpture gardens.

Ondine released their debut E.P., “Towards A Little Light” earlier this year. The E.P. featuring two original compositions and three arrangements of traditional songs has been called “stunningly beautiful with an ancient and wise feel”, and “a beautiful and wondrous thing”.
