Hillside Festival 2013

Hillside Festival, Guelph’s volunteer powered festival of music and community celebrates 30 years, from July 26, 27 and 28, 2013 at Guelph Lake.

Hillside’s humble beginnings date back to July 1984 when music lovers could stroll into the Riverside Band Shell, optionally make a donation, and bask in the eleven-hour music celebration for all ages.

Thirty years, countless bands, and special moments later, the festival has not only flourished but gained a reputation for being one of the best summer festivals out there, not just for the music but also for its community spirit, workshops, and memorable moments.

To help Hillside celebrate its 30th year, all Hillsiders are invited to share their unique and lovely Hillside moments and photos by visiting the Hillside Memories – 30 Year Facebook page. These special memories and photos will be used for this year’s programme and other celebratory projects that are underway.

Although Hillside weekend and Saturday passes have long since sold out don’t despair. Friday and Sunday passes are still available. Also, weekend passes often come available in the run up to the festival as people find out they can no longer go; keep an eye on Kijiji, Craigslist and other message boards. You may get lucky!
