The Best Albums Of 2014

So here they are… my ten favourite albums of 2014. As you can imagine, it wasn’t easy to narrow this list down to the Top 10 which is why I’ve included the next five as honourable mentions. And to be honest, any of the albums in that group could easily have made it into my Best of 2014 on a different day. Drew McIvor – In The Studio

Owen Sound based musician Drew McIvor joined us in the studio on Saturday May 3 2014 for a chat and a few songs. Drew will be well-known to local Guelph listeners as a member of reggae-acid-funk combo House of Velvet. These days however, Drew front’s his own band ElectroNova and also spends time with Mambo Nation, Nicehaus, and the Mackenzie Blues Band. He is just about to release his latest album, Porchlight. Drew will also be coming into Guelph for a CD release type show at Magnolia Café in the not too distant future.

It was one of my favourite sessions. If you didn’t catch it, you should check it out. You won’t be disappointed. For more information on Drew McIvor visit drewmcivor.com.

Episode 148: Drev McIvor
