Mike Hill – Mariposa Folk Festival 2014

This year’s Mariposa Folk 2014 takes place from July 4-6 2014 in the beautiful confines of Tudhope Park, Orillia. Mariposa is known for presenting the best singer-songwriters on the music scene. But also notable this year is the large number of bands and groups that will perform on the festival’s eleven stages. They hail from the South Pacific, Ireland, Australia, Cuba and many locales across Canada and the United States. To learn more about this year’s festival we caught up with Mariposa Artistic Director Mike Hill. For more information about the festival, visit mariposafolk.com.

Music: Ani Di Franco, Mariachi from Which Side Are You On? (2012, Righteous Babe Records); Rosanne Cash, When The Master Calls The Roll from The River & The Thread (2014, Blue Note)
